peach and plum blossoms 006peach and plum blossoms 007It’s been difficult to get decent light for shots of these trees as it’s been overcast for the past two days, and last night a tornado moved through the area about 40 miles southeast of here.  We got the rain, wind, and even some hail associated with the outer edges of the storm, knocking lots of blossoms off the trees.  The peach tree is an ornamental, although it does produce small peaches that the squirrels enjoy.  As blossoms drop, its purple leaves will emerge.  Of the two plum trees, the only one with blossoms is the one that normally does not produce fruit.
