pachysandra 004This is just a pretty little shade-loving ground cover.  It can take a little morning sun but not too much.  Its roots are fairly shallow, making it a good choice for underplanting trees and bushes.  Stems grow up to 12″ but they tend to bend over, giving the impression that it’s no more than about 6″ high.  In this zone, it tends to stay green year round.
